![]() ![]()
We have successfully developed python text editor (notepad) project. boldbtn: It calls bolddoc function which highlights the text. This easiest approach using os is to use os.system to run a shell script: import os os.system ('notepad filename.txt') Or using subprocess.Popen which is usually the recommended way: import subprocess subprocess.Popen ( 'notepad','filename.txt') the concepts of both my methods is they run a shell script calling. It doesnt matter if you are writing python, Java, C/C++ or anyother language. ![]() I would like Python to replace those xF4 with the correct character. Its job is essentially that: edit a text file. When I open a file1.txt, which contains rows of data on countries, some characters appear as xF4 in white font colour, surrounded by a black background rectangle. If you want to add more fonts you may add as many as you want, uncommenting the below lines will list all available fonts. I use Python 3.4.2 (Windows 7) and Notepad++ 6.5.5 (Windows 7).
